The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc., an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's: This work is in very good condition. It has not been recently restored, and is probably slightly dirty at this point, but certainly looks well. The panel is flat and shows no signs of abrasion or instability. The paint layer is stable. Tiny retouches that probably address small areas of inconsistency can be seen in the lower sky when the work is viewed under ultraviolet light. There are a few retouches addressing some frame abrasion around the extreme edges. One thin scratch has been restored in the water above the dog on the far right side. The work could be hung as is. Framed Dimensions: 11 1/4 by 19 in. (28.6 by 48.3 cm.)
